So now that’s it been a million years since i last updated my blog i felt that it was time to blog again. I mean why not! I have so many fun things going on in my life i just have to share! I can’t believe how much Norah and Ada have grown up even since my last blog. Time goes by way too fast. Especially with Ada. Where has the time gone? She will be 11 months old in 2 weeks and i still can’t wrap my brain around that. I remember every milestone with Norah was a stop and dwell moment. Now with Ada it’s like “Hey Char, did you know she was doing this?” Holy Cow! I guess the 2nd is better off for it. There world is not centered around every little thing they do!
There is nothing cuter than watching Norah and Ada laugh at each other. Oh and they have the exact same laugh….which is odd, so if i am in another room and they are both laughing it’s really hard to pinpoint who is who. It is getting easier in some ways to have Ada become more independent but then again now we are training 2 rather than just 1. It was nice to have Ada just lay there with no ability to get into anything but now she is my explorer and those little curious hand need lots of guidance!
But my favorite part of this whole family experience has been watching Charlie. If there were a Father of the Year award, it would be his. I can’t even go into details for fear that i would just turn into a blubbering mess. I get teary just trying to think of words. He is my constant Rock. Even after 5 1/2 years….We still got it! Here’s some of my favorite pics from the past 2 weeks:)

Wow, i can’t believe how fast time goes by! Can’t believe that in 3 weeks we will be celebrating Norah’s 2nd Birthday and Ada is on her journey of becoming mobile! It’s hard to remember my life without the girls and yet i have only been a mom for 2 years. Sometimes i just stop and realize how amazed i am to have my little family of 4. There are so many days that i am frustrated and tired. I do not offer the excitement and joy i wish to give them due to my own selfishness. But God nudges a gentle reminder what precious gifts they are to me. They are constantly teaching me more about myself and how much i need God’s grace! and yet at the end of it all they still want to run to mamma and love on me, even when i have acted more like the 2 year old. I am so undeserving of such unconditional love. It’s funny How God shows His love for me through my kids. I overwhelmed by that and yet i could never really grasp the depth of it.

Pan de Queso

One of charlie and my favorite breakfast is Pan De Queso! My step mom sometimes send it to us and we just go crazy over these little silly cheese balls! Since every other person in my family is brasilian it seems fitting to pop them in every once in a while! If you are ever in a big city that has a brasilian store i highly recommend stopping by and asking for a box of pan de queso. Or come over to my place and i might just let you have one. So here’s what our pan de queso morning looks like!

Every family has a story. Sometimes we just need someone offering a fresh perspective to help us tell that story. But, in a media driven-culture where artists are starving, photography is a business. So for many families, creative photography is not an option. It’s my desire to offer you access to something better than a family photo over the fireplace that was pulled from a church directory. Ties, sweater vests, and light blue misty drapes are not the background to an authentic life. We don’t live with our backs straight and heads tilted slightly to the left. If we are honest with ourselves, we will admit that our families are strange, weird, full of laughter and awkwardness. Real family consists of jumping on the bed, throwing ball in the park, and making a mess in the kitchen. Our days are filled with candid experiences. Those are the stories your photos should tell.

I’m not a professional by any means. In fact, photography is a new venture for me. I don’t even own an extra lens. However, it has been a method to channel and explore my creativity. Most of my photos are a product of me being inspired by my beautiful girls. Being a father has encouraged me to view life with a different perspective and so my photography is a reflection of a new lens on life

Because I’m not a professional I can’t charge you professional fees. Neither is it my desire to do so. My fee for taking pictures, my time, and editing would be $100. You will be give all your pictures on CD or a hardrive to have them developed whenever you prefer. If you would like me to have them developed there will be an extra charge. If you’re interested in someone helping tell you or your family’s story, don’t hesitate to hit me up.

I have tried several times to sit down and write. But nothing will come out. I have so many saved drafts that are unfinished than i know what to do with.

I am frustrated.

I have decided that if my mind will not let me complete what i am trying to say than i will just have to write broken. I want to be

to whats really spinning in my head.

Still i am blocked. Perhaps my thoughts are on STRIKE…

I love to wake with the sun gleaming from the window.

I can’t help but feel the warmth. It is constant and powerful. Its a reminder to me of God’s unfailing love for me. I am forever His little princess. His child. His daughter. His beloved. I can’t wrap myself enough in His love. I am captivated by His grace. I am so undeserving yet He gives it new every morning.
